January 2008

Greetings!

As we start the 2008 year at ANCHOR DOCK & LIFT, the first thought I have is Thank You!

Thank you to the many on-going and new customers. In an industry that was down somewhere between 8% and 30% depending on who is providing the statistics, we again showed increased revenues for 2007. Many of our customers have become friends and 60 of those same friends participated in our third annual “Train Party.” They donated over $1,500 to the local food shelf. This has become an annual event that precedes the Canadian Pacific Christmas Train arriving in Annandale. This year the entertainment was exceptional and those that dressed for the cold were rewarded.

Thank you to our primary manufacturers: ShoreMaster, FLOE, Pier Pleasure, and Tradition. They continue to provide quality products that we are proud to sell at ANCHOR DOCK & LIFT. All of our manufacturers stand behind their products especially if a warranty issue comes up. This is good news for our customers. We experienced very few warranty issues for the 2007 season.

Thank you to the many other business partners/sub-contractors that fully understand our commitment to our customers and help us continue to provide high levels of service. We appreciate their support.

We are very fortunate to have an outstanding staff of employees that fully understand and live our business statement. Our mantra is “Always deal with integrity, make and keep commitments, and make it a fun experience.” We all try to keep that focus every day.

Currently our truckloads of product are being delivered for the 2008 season. With increasing the main size of the AD&L building, we will be able to store the majority of the docks and lifts inside keeping them safe and clean. We take pride in delivering shiny clean docks and lifts. With doubling our building size, we also have more products on display inside. It has been fun having several families visiting our new building and walking on the dock systems, testing the lifts and rail system, while watching it snow outside.

As a new dealer for the Tradition Pontoons, we had a lot of fun. We found it very interesting that our buyers for the high end pontoons were extremely educated before they visited with us. While we would like to take credit for selling them, it was more a matter of taking orders. Our most interesting Tradition delivery was a 24’ triple, cruise with a 275 hp Mercury Verado. The customer’s desire was to be able to water ski with as many as 10 people in the boat. This Tradition Pontoon attained 60 mph. Because of the heavy duty framing and three pontoons the experience is a quiet and stable ride.

We will be participating in several boat shows during the first quarter. You will find us in the FLOE booth during the Minneapolis and St. Paul Boat Shows. You will also find us in the ANCHOR DOCK & LIFT Booth at the Minneapolis Northwest SportShow and The St. Cloud Sportsmen’s Show. See you there!

Respectfully,

Don Nelson & The Anchor Dock & Lift Team
